Pediatric Craniosacral Therapy: Hands-On Techniques for Children
This course is designed to help practitioners confidently and effectively use Craniosacral Therapy with pediatric patients. Through hands-on practice with children of various ages, you’ll learn strategies for working with both kids and their parents, review developmental milestones, and explore common pediatric conditions and patterns. Dr Christensen has spent the last 25 years in practice working specifically with women and children. She brings her clinical experience in working with children as a Naturopathic doctor and craniosacral practitioner.
You’ll gain practical skills and techniques specifically tailored to the pediatric population, including direct releases and advanced approaches that support growth, healing and optimal physical alignment.
Learning Highlights:
- Recognize signs and symptoms indicating benefit from Craniosacral Therapy
- Understand skull formation and ossification ages
- Build rapport with parents and children, including considerations for autism, ADD, and sensory integration
- Incorporate craniosacral evaluation into initial assessments for infants, toddlers and children
- Review developmental milestones and common patterns (ear infections, GERD, colic, autism, stuttering)
- Learn advanced direct techniques: occipital base, interosseous maxillary release, peri-eustachian tube release, lacrimal duct release, frontosphenoid release, and tooth alignment techniques
- Develop skills for assessing quickly and practice treating moving targets to hone your skills in treating children
Prerequisite: CST III
This course is perfect for practitioners who want to expand their pediatric practice with confidence, skill, and sensitivity. Focus is on working with children of all ages. Working with newborns will be generally addressed. More specific work with babies will be discussed in a future class.

One day online lecturing— prerecorded videos will be available a week to 10 days before class starts

Dr Faith Christensen graduated from Bastyr University in 2001 and practiced in Seattle, Chicago, Central Utah, Colorado Springs and now resides in Brooklyn, NY. She began teaching Craniosacral Therapy in 2000 with Integrated Bodywork Institute, as an adjunct faculty at Bastyr University, and through Vita Vis. Dr. Christensen has studied with Alain Gehin, DO, Nancy Soliven, MD, DC, Nancy Patterson, ND, LM, Upledger Institute, and Claudia Kohn, DO. She has published six manuals for various Craniosacral classes, gemstone therapy, Surviving Cold and Flu Season Naturally, Honoring The Wisdom In Nature: Messages From The Plant Kingdom and lectures on health and bodywork.
Dr Faith brings both scientific precision and deep reverence for the body’s innate intelligence — rooted in the belief that when the body is supported to truly integrate, the whole person becomes free to heal.
Preregistration Policies
- Minimum Attendance: We need at least 10 preregistrations before June 27th, 2026 for the class to run. If the minimum isn’t met, you won’t be charged and the workshop will be canceled.
- Commitment to Attend: Preregistering means you’re committing to attend if the workshop is confirmed. Preregistration is nonrefundable and cannot be canceled, so please be sure you’re available before signing up.
- Payment Details: This form is for preregistration only. When the minimum is reached by June 27, 2026 your card will be charged on that date. You’ll receive an email beforehand either way. Please make sure your card does not expire before that time. Your registration includes both the in-person workshop and online materials.
- In special cases Refunds are available up 14 days before the first day of class minus a 100 cancellation fee. No refunds are offered past that date as class materials will have been distributed to students. Contact Dr Christensen directly to discuss.
